Comenius project Youropa Village

From 8 to 11 June the final exhibition of our Comenius project named Youropa Village took place.
In this E.U. financed project, Hermann Wesselink College, Max-Planck-Gymnasium from Karlsruhe and Hall Green School from Birmingham worked together intensively for two years. Three classes of 11- to 13-year-olds created an international village in Art and German or English lessons.

The project was very successful and the final week, in which 10 pupils from Birmingham and 10 pupils from Karlsruhe visited our school and stayed with host families was highly appreciated by all. Pupils (and parents) really enjoyed getting to know the children from both visiting schools and wished the visit would have lasted longer!

On Friday 11 June the final exhibition took place in the auditorium of Hermann Wesselink College. In this unique multimedia exhibition products of the art and language classes of all three schools were displayed. Pupils provided guided tours, served self made snacks to visitors and interviewed them.

All in all it was an unforgettable experience!
